We\u2019ve blended thick creamy custard<\/span> and sake lees, or spent brewing yeast, from the Sasaki Brewery and put this delicious filling into a Croissant Danish made with French AOP (Appellation d\u2019Origine Contr\u00f4l\u00e9e) butter. About the Sasaki Sake Brewery\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Located not far from Nijo Castle, a World Heritage Site, the brewery is built on land where Jurakudai Castle, which was the home of the sixteenth-century samurai and feudal lord Toyotomi Hideyoshi, once stood.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hideyoshi, who was an aficionado of tea, was attracted to the area by its water, the excellent quality of which made it ideal for tea. It is said that within the grounds of Jurakudai Castle he built a house with a tearoom for the tea master Kyu Sennori. In the tearoom the two enjoyed tea together.<\/span><\/p>\n

Akira Sasaki, a fourth-generation member of the brewery\u2019s founding family, is currently running the brewery, which has existed for more than 120 years in an area historically associated with sake brewing. Here such breweries are passed down from generation to generation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Libert\u00e9 m\u00e9lange leur sak\u00e9-kasu \u00e0 son beurre AOP d’origine fran\u00e7aise lors de la fabrication de la p\u00e2te feuillet\u00e9e de ses croissants.<\/p>\n

Sasaki Shuzou est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 du ch\u00e2teau Nijo, enregistr\u00e9 au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO, sur l\u2019ancien terrain de \u201cJurakudai\u201d, un manoir construit par Hideyoshi Tokugawa qui avait \u00e9t\u00e9 fascin\u00e9 par la qualit\u00e9 de l’eau de sa terre.<\/p>\n

Hideyoshi, amateur de c\u00e9r\u00e9monie du th\u00e9, avait construit la b\u00e2tisse en l’\u00e9quipant d’une salle de th\u00e9. L’eau du terrain est d’une telle qualit\u00e9, que la l\u00e9gende locale raconte qu’il aurait b\u00e2ti Jurakudai express\u00e9ment pour ainsi prendre le th\u00e9 en compagnie du grand ma\u00eetre Sen no Rikyu.<\/p>\n
